Marina and the Diamonds/Outfits

Last night I went to see Marina and the Diamonds (as you may have read in my previous post). SHE WAS A-MAZING, seriously... I loved every minute of it and she played lots of her songs! This all included really awesome outfits and props (see above, although there are only 4 looks). For the song Mowgli's Road she wore a feathered hat, for the song Hermit The Frog, she carried 6 balloons.. three in each hand and for I Am Not A Robot she had 2 little pink light-up hearts.
LOOK AT THE SHOES, aren't they fantastic??? I this concert I had the best place to stand out of everyone there! Right at the front, right upfront of the mic ^.^ I went with a group of friends and everyone loved it so much, if I'd had stayed longer I would have got to meet her which kinda sucks.. but I guess you never know at times like those. Some of my friends got a chance to meet her + get her autograph and picture with her. I'm quite jealous tbh! Above is myself before the concert, queueing. My friend was in the photo too but I decided to crop her out because she probably wouldn't want herself to be on my blog, just incase anyway.
MY OUTFIT White top: Next Purple jumper: Dorothy Perkins Pink cardigan: My mums, it's Sisley Floral jeans: Primark Necklace: Claire's Handbag: Topshop I also wore 2 rings but you can't see them in this picture. Snake one and one that was my mums :-) Oh and Converses. I was looking through my August issue of Nylon (a denim issue) a couple days ago and came across this page with floral jeans on which I absolutely l-o-v-e. It made me think of the ones I bought in Primark which I wore to the concert. Total bargain considering these ones cost much more.

What's your favourite out of these 4 jeans? And what do you think of Marina and her outfits from yesturday? Like her shoes? I love hearing from you guys! So keep leaving comments below and I'll reply to all :-) xoxo, Isabella

Some of my sketches (old and new)

TAYLOR MOMSEN
This one went a bit wrong as you can tell, I guess you could say it's not quite finished!

AUDREY HEPBURN

TWIGGY
Drew this last night. And yeah, the nose isn't quite finished - oops.

A Girl I Made Up

Another Girl I Made Up, inlcuding words I came up with;
She's A Broken Dolly, Fragile, Fear if I speak I'll say the wrong thing.
I was really depressed when I drew this me thinks :-/
But I'm quite proud of it.

ANIME GIRL
Copied from an image on the internet.
Heh, I love anime but barely ever do it.

RANDOM
Something I drew when I was bored one time, nothing special.

SOME GIRL
I tried to copy a sketch I saw online but it ended up looking a bit different.
Drew it last night...

These are just a few of my sketches scanned from my A5 sketchbook, I had to darken each one because when I scan them it lightens them.. Apoligies if I've overdone the darkening of the exposure! Hope you like! I'm not amazing or anything, but I hope to get better as time progresses.

P.S. I'm going to see Marina and the Diamonds tomorrow! So excited, I'm really looking forward to it! Who's heard of her? Will post pictures hopefully, from the night like I did with the Pretty Reckless (Taylor Momsen) concert.
Stay tuned.

Snake Ring Obsession

Yesturday I was out shopping, naturally - and I bought this cute little snake ring from Primark. And it was only £2.50 (if I remember correctly) :-) I've wanted one for ages, since I first saw the Elizabeth and James ones back when the jewellery collection first started.
Normally I see them, and they are too expensive (like E&J) so I was pretty chuffed when I saw this one, even though it's not quite like the E&J ones.

I also bought dark blue 'skinny' (they're not skinny on me, so baggy) jeans with pink roses on, I love them. And also another florally thing - a jumper for winter which is cream with little pink roses on aswell.. haha oh dear another obsession - roses?!

Lily Cole's gone brunnette!

Lily Cole spotted at Cambridge yesturday.
Can you believe it? Lily Cole has made a drastic change to what she was before - previously well known for being a gorgeous ginger. This is reportedly the first time she has ever dyed her hair - and she's also gone for matching eyebrows too! I think she still looks lovely! Even though, it is a bit of shock to the system! Unfortunatly we don't get a proper good look at her new hair because of her wolly hat but I'm sure there will be a time and place for a proper look!

What do you think of the new Lily? -Isabella

Yesturdays Outfit

Excuse my cats butt that got in the picture! Haha!

Hey guys! I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has commented on one of my posts before! I'm so glad my blog is starting to get more views! And an even bigger thank you to those who have followed, I may not have alot but hey - I'm getting there. Thank you to those 2 new followers. Also I would like to say, happy 10.10.10! ;) I think it's a pretty cool day. Once I had my birthday on 06.06.06 and that was awesome too, heh - now you'll all know when's my birthday :-)

Anyway! Back to the topic, yesturday I went round my friends house wearing this outfit. I would of gone without tights but it was slightly cold and I prefer to wear tights (and it's a good thing I did because later that night we went to the beach to see fireworks and it was even more cold!) As my outfit was very bluey/greeny I decided to add a touch of pink with my bag which has a bow on it, incase you can't see.

Cardigan - Primark
T Shirt - O'Neil
Skirt - Primark
Tights - Primark
Shoes - New Look
Bag - Select
Butterfly Necklace - Primark !

Didn't realise how much Primark I was wearing till I wrote that out - wow!
Haha, I do hope it doesn't look like a Primark-ish outfit if you know what I mean.

Till next time!

Isabella

Marc Jacobs For Louis Vuitton, Paris Fashion Week Show

Magnificently Beautiful.
In the second picture down, the colours on the outfit are so eye catching.
So elegant.
I want the jacket SO BAD.

I'm loving the tigers. J'adore the colours, patterns, animal prints and fabrics in the collection!

"It's just camp. To take something from nature and to make it into stylish clothes: that's total camp," said designer Marc Jacobs backstage after his Louis Vuitton show on the final day of Paris fashion week.

Camp as envisaged by the French luxury powerhouse today came in the form of a collection inspired by Donna Summer, seventies disco, chinoiserie and tiger stripes. A black marble effect catwalk, stuffed tigers and tasselled disco curtains set the scene. It was as abrupt a departure from last season's ultra tasteful Bardot-meets-Mad Men look as it is possible to get.

Fringed crystal flapper dresses, lurex knitted jersey dresses, pantsuits in yellow, rust and purple colour blocks were set off with wide sequinned cummerbunds. A white trouser suit worthy of a Studio 54-era Bianca Jagger had an giraffe printed on its back. Tassels, shimmer, billowing decadent sleeves and animal motifs fought for attention, sometimes on the same outfit. The finale look was a pair of shiny tuxedo trousers and shimmering zebra stripes painted onto the model's body replacing actual clothes.

The Row, Paris Fashion Week, Spring 2011 Collection

View other looks here.

You have to hand it to Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, they know how to roll with the punches. When last-minute sample delays forced them to cancel their spring show in New York, they found a slot on the Paris circuit even though it meant downscaling to by-appointment presentations. “We wanted to make sure the production was where we wanted it to be,” said Ashley. “And that meant not being in New York.” It wasn’t a bad trade-off. A salon with soaring white ceilings and lovely boiserie created a grand atmosphere for an intimate viewing of the clothes, all the better for up-close appreciation of their understated sophistication.

The tightly edited 15 looks included traditional tailoring countered with more feminine fare, all of it in a soft palette of black, pale pink and ivory, worn with pink and red crocodile flats, in line with the season’s shoe trend, and, as Ashley noted, their plan from “day one.” There were bias-cut dresses and ankle-length skirts, such as a pale pink shell and matching “parachute” skirt, so named because it fell freely into loose pleats like those of a long ballerina skirt. Elegant suits — classic jackets with shawl collars or peaked lapels worn with straight trousers — felt modern, in blush for day and white satin for evening.

The simplicity of the silhouettes belied their meticulous details and construction: jackets, pants and gowns were silk satin back crepe; buttons were covered; and a white silk georgette tank dress was embroidered with knife pleated panels that released at the waist, which, as Ashley pointed out, was hand-stitched at three points along the interior to ensure proper fit. The sisters clearly know the importance of control, not just stylistically — just about every item in The Row is produced in New York, close to their watchful eyes. The rest of the world can see the fruits of Ashley and Mary-Kate’s labor Monday at 7:30 pm EST, when their presentation will go live on Bing.com.
