Bad nights cause'n teenage blues

VINTAGE SHORT-SLEAVED SHIRT: Blitz Vintage VINTAGE DENIM LEVI SHIRT: Portobello Market
VELVET SKIRT: Primark DR MARTENS SHOES: eBay
SUNGLASSES: H&M CHOKER: Claire's Acessories SOCKS: Topshop

First off, a huge thank you for my present that is this awesome cut-off vintage shirt from Blitz Vintage that my wonderful best friend Cristina (Chrissy Chrispy) got for me once I picked it out in the store she works at around my birthday time in June, I love it! Because of the way its cut I presume it used to be a baggy long-sleaved shirt as the sleaves are quite stringy and obviously cut - totally adding much edgyness ;) And because it's quite oversized it just makes it so easy to layer on top of things too which is great. Sometimes I'll wear it open with a cute crop-top underneath and it really can just make an outfit I think! The choker was also a gift from another best friend of mine, it didn't fit her neck and considering mine is abnormally tiny it fitted mine and yay! It's awesome.
So I think I've done this shoe and sock combo a few years ago on a blog post *bows head in shame*, I came across it kind of recently when searching for myself on Pinterest haha! You can view that here. Speaking of Pinterest if anyone would like to follow me on it, my account is pinterest.com/isabellabarter :-) My Clothes/Shoes/Acessories Board has items to die for *_*

Hope you're all keeping well and enjoying the Summer!

Much love xx

In the valley of the dolls

DRESS: New Look VINTAGE LEVI JACKET & RINGS: Portobello Market
VINTAGE BAG: Brick Lane store JUJU JELLY SHOES & SOCKS: Topshop EARINGS: Forever 21

The weather was so gorgeous on this day that I didn't really need the jacket after all, but I guess I pretty much always carry jackets with me, even on the hottest of days as I know what British weather can be like... soon enough the evenings will turn cold! Me and my best friend took these in the park after we got some lunch I believe, back when the days were really hot in July, which they're not so much anymore. I am sat here in bed typing this up with the most horrendous cold. Luckily I've got two other outfits photographed to upload until I am well enough to dress in something other than my PJs and a baggy jumper and start posing infront of a camera again. 'Till then I'm going to go watch movies for the rest of the day, sip at the remains of my coffee that has now turned cold, and continue on being a very lazy poorly bear. Au revoir!

Sing along mocking bird, you don't affect me

Photography by Melissa Arras.

Hey guys! Here are some medium format shots my uni friend Melissa shot of me around the Portobello area of London on 23rd Feb. It was really fun shooting this, we had various different denim items for the shoot (ones labelled are mine and the rest are hers) that was based around the subject of a denim campaign. Unlike the weather that we're having now, back then it was quite chilly which came to our advantage as the wind has brought my hair to life in some shots, which I do rather like! I've only ever shot on medium format briefly in the studio at uni before, and that was digital, but shooting with Melissa that day really inspired me to get going with medium format on film when I go into my second year. We can rent out the cameras for free so really there should be nothing stopping me! I'm so looking forward to getting taught about how to use those cameras again when I start back, even though I've been taught before, my memory needs refreshing!

London Fashion Week Day 1 Outfit

Photo credit for this image: Motel Rocks Blog
Vintage jacket: Portobello Market Dress: Motel Rocks
Hoodie: Dirty Harry Vintage Scarf & Dr Martens: hand-me-downs

So this was my outfit to Day 1 of London Fashion Week 14/05/2014. I had to wrap up because of the cold and rain and at first wasn't that keen on the clashing prints and didn't want to be wearing this scarf with this outfit, but when looking back at the photos, I actually don't mind it ^.^
But yeah I don't know why the first few photos have a yellow tinge on here, the files aren't actually like that but hey-hoe...

Here's a pic from the day with Kayla and Leanne

A seven nation army couldn't hold me back.

Vintage US army jacket & vintage jumper from Rokit, jeans from Primark.

Hello & Happy New Year! This is my first blog post of 2013 woopdy woo! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and got all you wished for etc :-) I've been meaning to do an outfit post with my beloved army jacket (I bought when in Camden in around October I believe) for quite a while! I also got this jumper in the sale from the same store that day, isn't it sweet? The collar is attached to it and I love the detail with the little red birdy in the centre. For my next outfit post I really hope for it to be shooted outdoors as I like to have a different backdrops... but it's a pain when the weather is cold which makes me feel not in the mood and lazy to do so aha. One of my new years resolutions is to blog more, with lots of outfit posts, and to just take more photos in general as I feel I've slaked in that area last year and in 2010/2011 I took far more, I miss that!
