Cause time stopped and I got away, nothing chases if we stay

Jumper from Forever 21, necklace was a gift, vintage Levi shorts from Portobello Market, tights from Topshop,
DIY knee-high socks, vintage Dr. Marten boots are hand-me-downs.

Here are some outfit photos shot by my lovely best friend Cristina {Chrissy Chrispy} when I went to visit her back in September, a few days after I moved to London. Now I think back on that day I'm just remembering what a nightmare to get to hers it was, who would have thought just traveling from one side of London to the other would take me about 4 hours - everything went wrong! From getting the wrong tubes to ending up stuck in the wrong places... I was exhausted when I got to hers and she'd made pasta which was simply a lifesaver as I could have quite easily collapsed aha. Thankfully since then I've gotten to know how to travel around better and am less of a hopeless case with London transport. Phew.

This jumper is my favourite jumper at the moment, it's so snug and comfy and I pretty much wear it all the time when I'm at home. It was a bit of a splurge for me because I don't usually spend £20 on a jumper but when I first moved to London I decided I'd treat myself to it because it was too nice not to resist ^.^
The tights here are my second pair because the first pair got laddered by my cat... I was not a happy bunny... But as you can see these second pair soon got a ladder too, so I'm basically doomed when it comes to such thin tights. At least they were only £1 in the sale I suppose. The colouring of them in these photos is really weird I know, I was burning them in on Photoshop because it was too bright on the legs to see the print... Little did I realise that I burned them too much and realised too late. Nevermind.

M U S E (LCF) Launch

Back in October Kayla invited me to a launch of London College of Fashion's new project titled 'M U S E'. The party was set in Kayla's tutor's pub, The George and Dragon - it was loveliest pub I've ever seen, so much character and quirkiness! I had a really good night and it was fun meeting all the fashion students and the students muses for their projects at this pub including Princess Julia (shown in second photo), who is a writer for ID magazine and DJ along with also being one of the original Blitz Kids from the 1980's. Also another muse to appear was Sue Tilley (second to last photo), the model of the most expensive paintings ever to be sold by a living artist "Benefits Supervisor Sleeping" by the late Lucian Freud. Other included Scarlett Cannon, also an original Blitz Kid like Princess Julia, now turned horticulturalist. Miss Dusty O, a DJ and performer who runs the London club Trannyshack. Mark Moore (for Menswear) who was a DJ/ Producer in the 80's who formed the band S'Express.

Each student is given a muse to design for and they have to produce a garment/small collection for them to wear. Kayla is documenting the process of this on the M U S E blog.

Sorry this post has taken so long for me to do! I've been putting off blogging because of the stresses of uni which I feel silly about because so many other bloggers manage to balance both! I'm going to try my best to now aswell, I will, I will! I have many outfit posts lined up to post that I haven't yet and I really want to get them posted before they become too ancient! Hope everyone is well... I have laryngitis at the moment and it is no fun :-( Hopefully I will be all better soon enough... x x x

P.S. some of the pics I pinched from Kayla aswell as the info - credit to you mrs :3
